Happy Easter!!

Hey everyone. We hope you all had a Happy Easter. We definitely did. We spent Sunday afternoon at Brittany and Eric's house with the rest of the Kirby clan. It was a great time, the food was great, the company was entertaining and the Easter egg hunt was...intense. Max had a great time searching for eggs and eating the fillings. Thanks to Brittany and Eric for their hospitality. I am posting some pics below. Hopefully, I can get the rest of them scanned and posted soon.

This is the best digital picture we have of Max's Easter outfit. It's black and white, but our battery died right after this. I have some regular pics that are better. I will try and get them scanned and posted soon.

First (of many) Fishing Trips with Dad and Uncle Brian

Well, the weather here is amazing and my new job has allowed a normal schedule for a change. For the first couple of weeks, I wasn't sure what people were supposed to do with free weekends...then it dawned on me. They fish. So, with Boat Ramrod out of commission for a few more weeks, Uncle Brian and I packed up Max and our gear and set out to teach Max how to live off the land. So off we went to the Gandy bridge. Turns out Max needed no instruction and he quickly made the first catch of the day, nabbing a tiny crab in his dip net while Uncle Brian and I remained shut out with our fancy bait and fishing rods. Later, Max landed his first real fish, he had a blast.

Max is discussing the feeding habits of his first Ictalurus punctatus. He sounds so funny when he says that.

When using a dip net, it is important to remember to keep your right hand out for balance. Posted by Picasa
