Harper's Nursery is DONE!!! (For real this time!)

Well, Harper's room is officially finished. I'm not putting another thing in here...well, unless its just the perfect thing, and the room could not survive without it....but seriously, its done. It really is so special to me because it seems like so many we love contributed at least a little something to it. Since you saw it last, we have added the box shelves (which were a great find by Josh's mom), the ribbon-tied letters, the rug, and the cart now has the brown trim instead of the blue. Sometimes I go in there just to look at it. We really do love it and Harper seems so happy when she is in there!

PIRATE PARRRRRRRRTY!!!!!

July 22, 2007
As the saying goes, "better late than never". Today we had Max's belated birthday party, with (obviously) a pirate theme. We had a really great time. Thanks to all who attended. We had a total of 11 kids, and approximately 16 adults. Needless to say, we had a very full house. Here are some pics of how the day unfolded.

Summer Fun

Along with the desk, we got Max a slip n slide for his birthday, and decided it was a perfect afternoon to try it out. It took him a while to figure out that he was actually going to have to run if he wanted any momentum going down the slide, but he eventully got it, and here is how one of those runs went! I wish you all could have been here to see it because he was so funny about it all. These pictures are the next best thing!

MAX IS 3!!

Sunday, July 15, 2007.
On the morning of Max's birthday, we had to wake him up in time to get ready for church. He was reluctant, and laid his head back down and started to drift back to sleep until we said "Happy birthday Maddox!" After another second, it registered, and he opened his eyes widely and gasped, "Where's my Pirate Cake and Candles?" We told him he could have cake for breakfast, and he was pretty pumped about that. We then told him that he was 3 years old now, and he said "aahhh I am????" The best thing is, is that now that he is 3 he understands that 3 year olds have to use the potty, and he has been doing great so far!
What is it? What is it? What is it?

We think he likes it, but its hard to tell...
Max strategically places his wrapping paper in a pile as he opens his presents. Aunt Laura would be proud.
Hey, who is this kid, and why is he playing with my puzzle?
Max quizzes us to see if we really do know our shapes.
