FINALLY!!!

Well, it has been 4 months since we have updated this blog. I guess it just goes to show how busy we actually have been! But dont worry, it has been well documented, and you can see Harper's baptism and birthday, Easter, the Beach, and the Aquarium. Enjoy!

Roanoake Island Aquarium, Manteo, NC

I finally had a few days off from work, so I decided to pack up the kids and go on a little road trip to the Outer Banks. We had such a great time going to the aquarium and the beach, and thank goodness Josh's parents didnt mind that we crash with them for a few days! Josh didnt mind too much....he had the house to himself to play all the uninterrupted video games he wanted!
Lets hope they are looking at more than just their reflection....
These river otters were the cutest things ever. We could have watched them all day!

I'm pretty sure the only alligators left in North Carolina are in this aquarium.

Harper wonders if she's turtley enough for the turtle club, while Max tries to impress the little girl next to him with his knowledge of turtles.

Max prefered to touch the inanimate objects in the live touch tank.

SHARK!! tank

We got there just in time to see the divers feeding the sharks and fish....not too sure why the sharks can't do that themselves, but okay.
Harper assessed the situation, and was pretty sure she wanted to get in with them.

This is a man that Harper made fast friends with. One minute we were looking at the shark tank, the next I turn around and she is holding her arms up to this man for him to pick her up! Fortunately he loved her!

SHARK!! teeth

Outside the aquarium, they had an area of phosphate where the kids could dig for shark's teeth and fossils. Max actually found a few, but Harper just prefered to play with the bucket that held all of the shovels.

Laughing Gull, Nags Head, OBX

After we went to the aquarium, we hit the beach. The weather was gorgeous, and we had the entire beach to ourselves. The kids had a blast playing in the sand and building sandcastles and I just soaked up the sun, and took pictures:)

Sun, Sand, and Fun!

Max looked at his creation....
....And it was Good.

No one likes having their picture taken in a bathing suit.

Laura, you wanted to see her curls....this one's for you!

I just like this picture.

Its nice (and rare) when they are working together for a common purpose!

Easter Basket Fun!

With our powers combined......

The Hunt is On!!!

After the kids opened their Easter Baskets, we headed out into the yard where Daddy and Papa had scattered hidden eggs for the kids to find. There were 3 money eggs and Max found them all! Harper had a good time, but she was not a big fan of the grass, and would only point to eggs she had found if they were in too deep!

Nana and the Easter Bunnies

Max found all 3 of the money eggs!

I found one!!!

Happy lil Bunnies

Even Josh got in on the hunt!
